WOLLONGONG Science Centre director Glen Moore is planning an interesting event involving lasers during the Illawarra Innovation Showcase between June 27 and July 4.

He plans to celebrate the opening of the University of Wollongong's Innovation Campus by projecting a laser show from the top of the new iC Central building into the landscaped water feature in the grounds below.

Guests will be able to view the show from upper-level function rooms, which will be fitted with sound systems.

Glen would one day like to project laser shows onto Mt Keira with sound on FM radio.
